This return route runs from Chojabaru over Amagaike Pass to the Bogatsuru Wetland, then climbs through Dambaru to the 1,786-metre summit of Mount Taisen. Woodland opens onto the mountain-ringed wetland, while colonies of Kyushu azaleas cover the ridge leading toward the summit.
