From the Mitakesan cable car station, this loop passes the ancient Jindai zelkova to Musashi Mitake Shrine on the 929 m summit, drops from Nagaodaira to Tengu Rock, follows the moss-covered boulders and clear stream of the Rock Garden up to Ayahiro Falls, and returns past the Tengu's Seat cedar. Along the way it takes in the roughly 10 m falls used for the shrine's purification rites and the giant cedar where a tengu is said to have sat.
