From the Tashirobaru Trail Center on the Tashirobaru plateau in Unzen, this loop climbs the northwest ridge past the Kusenbu Daimyojin shrine to the 1,062 m Mount Kusenbu and returns down the Tashirobaru pasture side. A peak in the northern Unzen range, it has white Yamaboshi dogwood flowers around its ridge rocks in June, and the summit area looks to Heisei-shinzan, Fugendake, the Tashirobaru grasslands and the Ariake Sea.
