From the Bridge No. 7 car park in Shibukawa, this loop passes the columnar-jointed Byobu Rock to Shishi Rock (also called Daikoku Rock), a volcanic plug about 100 m high, reaches the 1,296 m summit of Mount Komochi, and returns over Yanagigamine and the Otarumi saddle. A classic place to see a volcano's exposed internal structure, it has a rugged, rocky trail, and Shishi Rock overlooks the Kanto Plain and distant peaks.
