This out-and-back route climbs the Mizunashi Valley forest trail from Mizunashi Trailhead to 982 m Mount Ihara. A noted flower mountain of the Sefuri range, Mount Ihara has Kyushu's largest cluster of orange Lycoris sanguinea about 30 minutes above the trailhead; it usually flowers from mid to late July. Fresh green foliage and Kobano-mitsuba azalea are also seasonal highlights, while the summit looks over Itoshima and Fukuoka to the north and Saga to the south.
