This long circuit starts at the riverside parking area on the Gofukuji side and loops around Mount Hachibuse. Mount Hachibuse is the highest summit on the Shioneri ridge, and its broad, level grassland summit offers a 360-degree view including Lake Suwa, Mount Fuji, the Central Alps and the Northern Alps.
