This one-way descent leaves the Yoshida summit, shares the upper trail with the Subashiri route, turns onto the Yoshida descent at the Shita-Edoya junction, and finishes at the sixth station. Most of the route follows long zigzags over volcanic gravel, with few huts or water points and a critical route split at the eighth station.
