This Hira Mountains traverse climbs from Horai Station through Kojoro Pass to Mount Horai, then descends through Mount Uchimi and the Kitadaka Trail to Shiga Station. Mount Uchimi is home to Biwako Terrace, and the ridgeline around both summits overlooks Lake Biwa.
