Tanokamidake

田上岳

Minamikyushu, Kagoshima · Elevation 303 m

Tanokamidake has a shrine to Izuna Daimyojin, traditionally said to have been established by the Shimazu family in 1560. Local people continue to replace its sacred rope and renew its torii gate. The return hike from the trailhead is 2.6 km, with a standard walking time of 1 hour 20 minutes.
