Mount Ushibuseyama (491 m) rises above the Tahira district of Yoshii-machi in Takasaki City, Gunma; its name reflects the shape of a recumbent ox. Sung of as "Tago-no-ne" in the Man'yōshū, the upper slopes form Ushibuseyama Nature Park with a castle-style observation tower, Kotohira Shrine, the Peace Bell and a cave Kannon. The mountain bursts with cherry blossoms and hydrangeas in season and is included in the Gunma 100 Mountains.
