Mt. Shinguuyama

神宮山

Mt. Shinguuyama is a 483.3 m peak in the Udagō district of Abu Town, Abu County, Yamaguchi Prefecture, with the Oyama Shrine and its inner sanctum at its summit forming a traditional center of mountain worship. A prefecturally designated sutra mound (kyōzuka), where late-Heian-period offerings were unearthed, lies on the mountain. The summit overlooks the Sea of Japan, and the peak is included in Yamaguchi Hyakumeizan and Bōchō Hyakuzan.
