Mt. Ryuuouzan

Ryūōzan is a roughly 159-metre hill on the coast of Usuki City, Ōita Prefecture. Its summit holds a gourd-shaped clearing with a small stone shrine enclosing two seated stone figures, and the name is said to derive from the dragon deity—a water god revered for agriculture. A well-kept trail climbs from the Usuki Municipal Baseball Stadium over Sankakudai (190 m) to the summit, which overlooks the sea and the distant Sobo-Katamuki range. It is one of the low mountains of Ōita Prefecture.
