A 647 m sacred mountain in Usa City, Oita Prefecture, between the former Usa and Yamaka districts, also known as Maki-no-mine. Just below the summit at the ninth station stands Daimoto Shrine, the inner shrine of nearby Usa Jingu; three sacred boulders that form the kami-body of the mountain rest on the off-limits summit itself. The Omoto Ancient Path linking Usa Jingu to the summit passes the ruins of the six Daimoto temples of the Rokugomanzan Buddhist network. The peak is listed in the Oita Hyakuzan, Shin-Oita Hyakuzan, Kunisaki Peninsula Yama Guide and the Bunken Tozan Guide to the Mountains of Oita Prefecture.
