Mt. Komekamiyama

米神山

Komekamiyama is a 475 m peak in the Hiragakura area of Ajimu Town, Usa City, Oita Prefecture, long revered as a "mountain where gods dwell." The western foot holds the prefecturally designated Sada Kyōishi standing stones, while the slopes contain megalithic stone circles known as the Moon Valley and Sun Valley as well as a summit ritual site. A loop trail connects the Kyōishi and Kuma trailheads, and the annual Megalith Festival is held each March. The peak appears in 大分県の山(分県登山ガイド), 新大分百山, and 大分県の低い山々.
