Mt. Kojou (Kojōsan, 437 m) rises near the centre of Mino City in Gifu Prefecture and is known as the site of Ogurayama Castle, a Sengoku-period fortress connected with the Toki clan, military governors of Mino Province. Stone walls, terraced compounds, and dry-moat trenches still mark the summit, and a well-maintained stepped trail looks down on the Nagara River and the historic Mino Bridge. It is featured in the "100 Mountains of Tōkai" and the "Sequel 100 Mountains of Gifu".
