Mt. Kamisakari

上盛山

A 314.7 m peak on the northern part of Nagashima Island in Kaminoseki Town, southeastern Yamaguchi, and the highest point on the island. The hill was once worshipped as "Kamiyama" (the divine mountain), and its summit now carries a lighthouse-shaped observation tower that opens a full 360° panorama: on clear days the view reaches Cape Sada in Shikoku and the Kunisaki Peninsula in Kyūshū, with the small islands of the Seto Inland Sea scattered immediately below. The peak is listed among the Shimayama 100 Selections.
