Mt. Hazama (309 m) is one of the main peaks of the Kakamigahara Alps (known as the Seki-Minami Alps on the Seki City side), an east–west ridge along the border between Seki and Kakamigahara cities in southern Gifu Prefecture. Hazama Fudō Temple, traditionally founded in 823 and counted among the Three Great Fudō of Mino, sits on the mountainside, and trails maintained by Seki City wind through the 126-hectare Fudō-no-Mori conservation forest. The summit preserves the remains of a medieval mountain castle, and the neighboring Myōō-zan lookout offers sweeping views over the Nōbi Plain. The peak is listed in the Gifu-no-Yamatabi (Vol. 2) guide and the Kakamigahara Alps traverse.
