Mt. Amatsutsumiyama

An 1,188.8 m peak in Nishimera Village, Koyu District, Miyazaki Prefecture, counted with Mt. Ichifusa and Mt. Ishidō among the Mera Three Mountains and lying within Kyushu Chuo Sanchi Quasi-National Park. The summit is reached in about 30 minutes from the Amatsutsumi Plateau trailhead, and a loop trail past Bouzu-iwa rock and ancient beech and red-oak passes the summit. The annual Mera Three Mountains opening climb takes place on 29 April, and the peak is included in the Miyazaki Hyakuzan.
