Mount Minami is a 544 m satoyama on the border between Sagamihara City's Midori Ward and Aikawa Town in Kanagawa, set on the southern shore of Lake Miyagase. From the summit lookout, the emerald waters of the lake and the ridges of the Tanzawa Mountains are spread below, and on clear days the skyscrapers of Shinjuku are also visible. Kanagawa Prefectural Aikawa Park maintains the nature-observation forest trail to the summit, and the easy hike pairs well with a Miyagase Dam visit. The peak lies within Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park.
