Mount Kora (312 m) rises in southeastern Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, at the western end of the Mino range. Kora Taisha, the first-rank shrine of the former Chikugo Province, stands on its slopes, and the mountain preserves the ruins of the ancient Korasan Kogoishi stone fortress. The peak is part of the Kyushu Olle Kurume-Korasan course (8.6 km) and is listed in the Fukuoka Prefecture mountain guidebook.
