Mount Kinko (403 m) straddles the boundary of Hachihama in Tamano City and Minami Ward of Okayama City, forming the highest point of the Kojima Peninsula and of Tamano City. Designated a Special Zone Type 2 of the Setonaikai National Park, the name preserves a legend in which Sakanoue-no-Tamuramaro buried a golden helmet here to pray for victory before subduing demons at Yuga Shrine. Okayama Prefectural Route 399 climbs to the summit, where an observation platform sweeps from the Great Seto Bridge and the Bisan-Seto islands across to the Shikoku mountains and Okayama Plain.
