Mount Kasa

Mount Kasa is a roughly 79 m isolated cone in Ura-cho, Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, formed of serpentinite — a geology unusual on the Atsumi Peninsula. A maintained flight of stone steps brings walkers to the summit in about five minutes, where Mikawa Bay opens out toward Toyohashi, Gamagōri and Himeshima Island. Looped paths circle the foot and the seventh stage, and the peak is listed by Aichi Prefecture as a scenic resource and figures in both the Mikawa-Enshū Chōteizan and the Atsumi Peninsula 10 mountains.
