Mount Hisashi is a 183 m hill in the Sho district of Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, long known as a viewpoint over the old Sanyodo highway. Hisashi-dera at its summit is said to have been founded in 754 by the priest Hoon Daishi, a Bishamonten statue traditionally attributed to his carving survives, and nine late-Kofun-period tombs lie on the hill. Kurashiki City's Hisashiyama birdwatching course, established in January 1981, crosses it and joins the Kurashiki northern traverse route to the south.
