Mount Goken

五剣山

Swordlike rock peaks rise above Yakuriji Temple, associated with Kukai, on the mountainside. Visitors can reach the temple by its approach path or cable car, but climbing the rocky peaks is prohibited because of collapse risks. The mountain is also known for Aji stone, used for gravestones and stone lanterns.
