仙人岱ヒュッテ

Unmanned shelter at Sennintai, a plateau at 1,330m on the south side of Hakkoda-Odake, also known as Sennintai Hutte. It stands about 100m off the main trail inside a forest of Maries' fir. Built in 1955 from rot-resistant hiba cypress with a floor area of roughly 40 sqm, it is open around the clock all year. Capacity is 15; there is a toilet but no electricity or plumbing, and water comes from the Hakkoda-shimizu spring beside the trail about 100m away. Roughly 80 minutes (2.9km) on foot from the Sukayu Onsen trailhead, with a further 55 minutes to the summit of Odake. Inside Towada-Hachimantai National Park and managed by Aomori Prefecture.
