974 m · Yamagata · 2.7 km from the summit of オツボ峰

An emergency shelter at about 974 m beside Lake Otori at the northern end of the Asahi Range. It is about a 150-minute walk from the Awataki Dam trailhead and serves Mount Ito climbs and traverses of the range. The lakeside is known for the legendary giant fish Takitaro, and staff attend on weekends and busy periods from summer into autumn.
