From Aimoto Station on the JR Fukuchiyama Line, this traverse climbs the main approach past the Kokuzo hall, said to have been built after Prince Shotoku's dream, to the 596 m Mount Kokuzo on the border of Tambasasayama and Sanda, then follows the ridge over Hachiojisan, Otaniyama and Sanjosan down to Kusano Station. Standing on the divide between the Kako and Muko rivers, the ridge looks toward Mount Rokko and Awaji Island.
