This satoyama return hike goes from the Seven Yakushi Route trailhead in Taiwa to Mount Sasakura, also called Omori (506 m), one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Tohoku. It passes the Kunimizaki Observation Deck on the way to Omoriyama Yakushido at the summit, where the deck looks over Taiwa’s green landscape. Mount Sasakura is affectionately regarded as the parent mountain of the Nanatsumori hills.
