This out-and-back route climbs from Lake Shikotsu Onsen to the summit of Mount Monbetsu. From the 866-metre summit, views extend across Lake Shikotsu and its surrounding mountains to central Sapporo and the Sea of Japan, with Mount Tarumae and Mount Fuppushi directly across the lake.
