This out-and-back course climbs from the Haruna-Fuji trailhead beside Lake Haruna to Haruna-Fuji, the central volcanic cone of Mount Haruna. The 1,391-metre summit has Fuji-san Shrine and a ropeway observation deck overlooking the lake, the mountains of Joshu, and the Kanto Plain.
