Mt. Ushikusa

Mt. Ushikusa is a 550.2 m peak on the boundary between Watarai Town and Minamiise Town in Watarai District, Mie Prefecture, on the Watarai Range at the eastern edge of the Kii Peninsula. The summit overlooks the Kumano-nada Sea, while the trail passes 200-year-old ancient trees and a Dainichi Nyorai stone statue. From the Watarai side, a loop course climbs via Ushimi-daira and links to neighboring Mt. Rakuda. The peak is included on the Watarai Seven Mountains list.
