Ureirasan (600.5 m) is a limestone peak that towers over the town center of Iwaizumi in Shimohei District, Iwate Prefecture, and serves as the town's symbol. The name is said to derive from an Ainu word for "mist-covered peak," and a midway lookout famously frames the heart-shaped town center below. A beginner-friendly trail is open from April to November, and the mountain is included on the New Iwate 20 Mountains and the Iwate 100 Mountains lists.
