Mt. Nenotomari

Mt. Nenotomari is a 907-meter peak on the border between Kiho Town in Minamimuro District and Kumano City in Mie Prefecture, and is the highest mountain within Kiho Town. From the summit hikers can survey the Kumano Sea to the south and the Kii Mountains with the Kumano River to the north. Multiple maintained trails climb the mountain — including an iron-ladder route from Kirihara and the Yamabiko new trail along the Kirihara ridge. The peak is listed among the Kansai 100, Kinki 100, and Tokai 100 Famous Mountains.
