Mt. Mitaki

三滝山

Mitakiyama is a 642.1 m mountain in Kubono, Shirokawa-cho, Seiyo City, Ehime Prefecture, rising above the Mitaki Gorge Natural Park known for its waterfalls and autumn foliage. A Sengoku-period mountain castle once stood on the summit, taking advantage of cliffs on three sides; a footpath now climbs to Mitaki Shrine just below the top. The peak is designated geosite G3 of the Shikoku Seiyo Geopark and is listed among the Ehime Yuyu Mountain Walks.
