Matsutakesan (also written 松嶽山) is a 324 m hill in the Asa district of Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture — the city's highest peak — listed in the Bocho Hyakuzan and among the local school-song mountains. Halfway up stands Shobo-ji, a Shingon temple founded in 991 whose 13th–17th-century records are designated cultural property of the city. A clear single-track trail leads up from Asa Station to a summit observation deck overlooking the Asa district.
