A 674.9-meter peak at the meeting point of three municipalities — Tosa City, Susaki City and Sakawa Town in Kōchi Prefecture — sitting near the Pacific coast at the southern margin of the Shikoku Mountains. The name comes from Kokūzō Bosatsu (Ākāśagarbha); a temple known as Hokigamine-ji once stood on the eastern slope and the mountain was a noted site of Shugendō practice associated with Kūkai. The western summit carries a triangulation point, while the eastern peak's Hokigamine Observatory looks out across the Yokonami Peninsula to the Pacific. Easily reached on foot from JR Togano Station, the mountain is listed in the Shikoku 100 Famous Mountains and Shikoku Hyakuzan.
