Mt. Katashiroyama is the highest of the seven outer-rim peaks encircling Lake Imutaike (a Ramsar-designated wetland) in Kedōin-chō, Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture, rising to 508.8 m. Designated part of Imutaike Prefectural Natural Park in 1953, it serves as the principal summit on the roughly five-hour traverse of the entire crater rim, and is included in Yama-Kei's 'Nihon Hyaku-Teizan (2017)'.
