Mt. Hiyama is a 408 m peak at the center of Kurahashi Island in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, within Setonaikai National Park. Its name derives from the signal fires once lit at the summit as a navigational aid for ships in the Seto Inland Sea. A large summit boulder offers a 360-degree panorama embracing the island-studded Seto and the distant Shikoku mountains, reachable in about an hour from the parking area. The peak is listed as No. 35 of the Shimayama 100 and is also included in the Hiroshima 100 and Hiroshima Prefecture 100 Famous Mountains.
