Atago-yama is a 73.6 m hill in the Takagami district of Chōshi City, Chiba Prefecture — the highest point on the Bōsō tip and across the Kujūkuri Plain. The Horizon Observatory (地球の丸く見える丘展望館), operated by the Chōshi City Tourism Association, sits on the summit and offers 360-degree views taking in Kashima-nada, Kujūkuri Beach, the Byōbu-ga-ura cliffs and Mount Tsukuba; on clear days the curvature of the horizon is plainly visible. The hill is one of the Chōshi Geopark's geosites and is included in the Bōsō Mountains gazetteer (Bōsō Sangakushi).
