Mt. Akiha is an 885 m sacred peak in Haruno-chō, Tenryū Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, listed in the Shizuoka Hyakuzan, Nihon Hyaku-reihō and other guides. Near its summit stands Akihasan Hongū Akiha-jinja, the head of roughly 400 Akiha shrines across Japan and a long-established center of fire-prevention worship. The historic main pilgrimage path from the lower shrine to the upper shrine climbs about 750 m and is maintained as a section of the Tōkai Nature Trail, taking 1.5–2 hours on foot.
