Mount Uomi is a 215-meter mountain in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, likened to Hawaii’s Diamond Head. Its summit observatory overlooks Chiringashima, Kinko Bay, Sakurajima and Cape Sata, and the area is within Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park. The summit is accessible by car. Around 600 cherry trees bloom in spring, followed by azaleas in early summer.
