Mt. Toomiyama is a 179 m mountain on Hotojima, an island in Tsukumi City, Oita Prefecture, and the island's highest point. Hotojima is famed for tuna fishing and for the distinctive cluster of houses packed up its slopes, and the summit overlooks the Bungo Channel. Shikoku is visible in clear weather, and cherry trees planted by residents flower along the trail in spring. The walk from the landing to the summit takes 50 minutes.
