Chikurinji Temple near the summit is associated with Ono no Takamura, and its main hall is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. Its bamboo-fringed grounds feature azaleas and cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas and lotus in summer, and autumn foliage including ginkgo. Trails lead from both Kochi and Nyuno stations, and the bell tower overlooks the surrounding mountains.
