Mount Oto

A 312-meter peak rising at the center of Hiroshima Island, in the Marugame City portion of the Shiwaku Islands of Kagawa Prefecture, and the highest summit in the Shiwaku group. It lies within Setonaikai National Park. Near the top, a band of granite weathered into rounded boulders forms a striking rock garden known as the "Oto Desert," and the crown gives panoramic views over the Bisan Seto and its scattered islands. The summit is reached in about an hour from Enoura Port and the peak is included in the Kagawa Prefecture Mountain Guide (Bunken Tozan Guide).
