Mount Myojin

明神山

Mount Myojin is a 442 m peak on the border of Anan City and Minami Town in Tokushima Prefecture, close to the Pacific coast of eastern Shikoku. The summit holds a first-class triangulation point with views of Cape Gamoda - Shikoku's easternmost point - and the Kii Peninsula. Just below the top stands Mine Shrine, an ancient piled-stone shrine venerated as a protector of safe childbirth and sea travel. The mountain lies along the Minami section of the Shikoku-no-Michi long-distance trail and is included in the Shikoku Hyakuzan.
