Mount Murazumi

Mount Murazumi is a 257-metre peak in the Okudono district of Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, locally called Mikawa-Fuji for its well-proportioned cone and traditionally said to have been named Hanazono-yama by Empress Suiko after the hundred blooms on its slopes. The mountain forms the Murazumi-yama Nature Park and is reached on a beginner-friendly walking course from the Okudono-Jin'ya historic site to a summit observatory, with views across the Mikawa Plain and as far as Mount Ibuki. It features in the Japan Hyakufuji and the Furusato-Fuji 100 selections.
