Mount Moya

Mount Moya (152.4 m) is a small, distinctly triangular hill in the Wakimoto hamlet of Goshogawara City's Shiura district, sometimes called a "pyramid" because of its near-symmetrical cone shape. Revered since the Edo period as Wakimoto Iwaki-san, it carries a small shrine to the kami of Mount Iwaki at its summit, and local residents make a pilgrimage on the first day of the eighth lunar month to pray for good harvests and a bountiful catch. The peak is included in the 110 Mountains of Aomori.
