Mount Kinzozan

金蔵山

Kinzozan is the 283-metre high point of Hashirajima in the Hashira island group, Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture — a peak on an island in the Aki Sea of the Seto Inland Sea. A medieval Kutsuna-navy fortress and, later, a wartime naval lookout are said to have stood here, and an observation point near the summit overlooks the inland sea's scattered islands, with Shikoku visible on clear days. It is one of the "100 Island Mountains" (Shima-yama 100-sen) selected by the Japan Islands Center.
