Mount Geza

Mount Geza is a 713.3 m peak in Eyora, Toyoda-chō of Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture — the highest mountain in Shimonoseki. Part of the Toyoura Range, it has long been revered as a sacred mountain of the Nagato region. A paved prefectural road climbs to the summit, where views extend over the Sea of Japan, the Genkai Strait, and the Seto Inland Sea. Jinjō-ji Temple, known as the "Kōya-san of the West," stands at the second station on the eastern flank. The peak is listed in the Yamaguchi 100 Mountains and the Bōchō 100 Mountains.
