Mount Gagyu is a 487 m peak in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture, locally called Oshiroyama and consisting of four summits - Omatsu, Tenjin-no-Maru, Komatsu and Maeyama. Akiba Shigenobu founded Bitchu-Matsuyama Castle on the Omatsu summit in 1240, and the surviving keep is the only mountain castle among Japan's twelve original tenshu, designated an Important Cultural Property and National Historic Site. The slopes also hold a national natural monument Japanese macaque habitat, and the peak is included in the Okayama 100 Mountains list.
